It takes so little

Isn’t it weird that
one second
can change an entire life?
That one word can change
a previous
strong relationship?
Or that a smile can make
the entire difference,
give a basis of existence?

Isn’t it painful
to think of it,
everything that changed?
That word that cost you
that friendship,
or that love.
Or funny, the fact that you
with a careful smile
got a friend for life?
